Billings Lake Cottage sits high above Billings Lake with beautiful views of the the lake, the islands and the opposite shoreline. There is a view of the lake from inside in the living room and also upstairs from the sheltered porch. The cottage was totally redone in 2009. On the main level there is the main bedroom, the living room with a wood burning soapstone stove, dining area, the fully applianced kitchen and the full bath. On the second floor it is set up to be a sitting area or pull out any of the 6 beds (1 full and 3 twins) and make it a second bedroom for another family with the half bath and closet and dresser. Follow the natural rock pathway while holding onto the curved railing down to the water and there a kiddie area that was built up with rock and sand for the little ones and rock steps into the water for swimming. Also bring your boat and you can dock it at your own private dock. Or use either the paddle boat, kayaks or one of the 2 hydrobikes to go explore the islands and coves.

This is a Site in a campground which has a trailer that sleeps 6. Includes A full bath, kitchen and dining area. The living room has two full size pull out couches. On this property there is a deck with awning. Also a picnic table and campfire. There are utensils, plates, pots, cups and a vacuum cleaner. There is a rental office for golf carts if needed for a fee. Please bring your own food, beddings, toiletries and person care products. A rental agreement will need to be signed so please include your email. Also a deposit is required to hold reservation. This property is centrally located across from the pool area, main office and the activity center. As well as near the creamery and sports field. THE AREA- The property is Located inside Strawberry park camp resort. Strawberry park is located 5 minutes from foxwoods casino, 15 minutes from mystic and has several beautiful wineries within a 3 mile radius. There are also 3 lakes perfect for fishing within 2.5 miles as well. A perfect trip for the summer filled with various activities to do. STRAWBERRY PARK- Known best for its themed weekends, the 77 acre property offers a ton. - 3 swimming pools and a hot tub - full size basketball court -2 large playgrounds -a baseball field -a rec room and arcade room - a grill and ice creamery - pickle ball and horseshoes The scheduled activities are a constant at strawberry park. From kanjam tournaments to face painting to the Tiki bar poolside for adults. I will put up both a link to the website and a sample activities list and themes for the upcoming summer weeks. MY PLACE- It is a one bedroom/ one bathroom home. The bedroom has a queen size bed with plenty of closet place. The living room couch pulls out into another queen size bed. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator and a 4 burner gas stove. Plenty of counter tops and dual sinks. The bathroom is standard with a shower/tub. The upstairs loft cover over 1/2 the square feet of the first floor. It's wide open and can easily sleep 4-5 adults comfortable. There is an air mattress provided. The deck is a huge space where you can eat drink and hang out. There is a table of 4 with another picnic table on the deck (NOT SEEN IN PICTURES). There are plastic outdoors chairs you can move to the front yard to sit around the fire. Feel free to use what wood is there, if you run out of wood it's avaliable for purchase at the front office. WHAT TO BRING- All rentals at strawberry park come bare bones. Which means you will need to provide linens/towels/shampoo/soap. I will have some things stored but I don't garuantee they will be in Stock. There is a Walmart one exit from the campground. What I recommend is packing like you are going camping and bring everything you think you need. WHAT ELSE- There is a 5$ fee per day for WiFi in the park. You can chose to purchase it through the park if you want it. I ask that you treat my home like it is yours. The cleaner you leave it, the better. I don't charge a cleaning fee because I have good faith you will treat it correctly. I appreciate your kindness in advance. If you have any problems during your stay, call at any time. And fall is filling fast!!* The cottage overhangs the edge of the lake with an expansive 20'x24' water level deck that you can swim or kayak from, and a large second story deck which makes you feel like royalty as you view nature and the lake from above. Both decks are ideal for an outside meal, barbecuing, yoga, reading, family time, or just enjoying the serenity of nature and the lake. Our recent remodeling has kept some of the character of this 1933 summer home. The cozy cottage sleeps up to six people, making it perfect for a vacationing couple (or two) or a family. It has a medium size bedroom with a queen size bed, and a small bedroom with a full size bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and a living room with large french doors that open onto the upper deck with magnificent views of the lake. On the lower level is the living/recreation room (including laundry machines) which opens onto the water level deck. There are always areas on the deck to be in the shade if needed. There are two small parking spaces that will fit a maximum of two cars. Kayaks and a canoe are provided for your use at no additional charge. There is also a Huck Finn style raft to sit on or swim from during the summer, or to untie and float around on. We have internet, a DVD player, a TV with Netflix and Amazon prime provided, and indoor games. If you choose, we have a paddleboard rental for only $20. We also have a massage therapist that you can schedule a massage with, right by the lake. Also, Paola is from Peru and can offer you latin dance lessons at the cottage! The cottage is removed from noise and bustle, and the quiet and beautiful lake makes it a really fun place to enjoy being part of nature. There is also a small, organic farm stand that sells vegetables at the beginning of your street (only during the summer and fall). There are endless recommendations for all sorts of places less than 20 minutes away. Here are a few suggestions: Local “New England Feeling” Attractions: -Holmberg’s Orchard in Gales Ferry is a beautiful place to go pick your own fruit of the season, whether that’s blueberries, peaches, raspberries, apples, or even nectarines this year. Tractor rides will bring your family to the perfect picking location. In the fall, there are fields of pumpkins, as well as squash, gourds, Indian corn, hay bales, and mums. There are also events, such as Farmer’s Markets. - Mystic Aquarium ?is ?great for families! -The Mystic Seaport Museum, a ?Historic Whaling Village from the 1800’s, has many attractions indoors and outdoors, with incredible sights and tours of historic ships. ?- The Pequot Indian Museum is very interesting and ?Smithsonian-quality. Interactive for children and quite educational. Open Wed- Sat 9am-5pm, a 6 minute drive from the cottage. -Old Mystic Village and its many shops ?are great for both adults and children -Clydes Cider Mill is a hot spot in the fall! Sample or purchase cider (and hard cider), and homemade goods (the donuts are highly recommended). -Buttonwood Farms in Griswold is famous for its delicious farm fresh ice cream and over 14 acres of sunflowers that will peak during the end of July. Beautiful views of the shallow waters, and open ocean with sandy beach at the end of the road. (17 minutes away) -Haley Farm State Park is a popular trail for biking or jogging, along with Bluff Point. SWIMMING ?- Long Pond of course! You are welcome to take the kayaks or the raft and bring them over to the nice rock areas of Long Pond to swim off of. It has a rustic feel and it is on a quiet lake where time seems to have been forgotten. It is literally right on the water, as you can see in the pictures. The cozy cottage is perfect for a vacationing couple, or two, or a family. The waterfront cottage has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a spacious living room with a wood stove. The large screened-in porch is a favorite place for meals overlooking the water. A large oak tree provides shade with picnic tables, chairs, and a rocking bench by the fire pit, all with water views. There are horseshoes and a second fire pit on the bank looking down the whole lake, and a badminton/volleyball net in the front yard during the summer. Back at the lake, each season of the year has its own charm at the cottage. The fall brings beautiful colors surrounding the lake, perfect to enjoy the days on the deck, the porch, and the kayaks during warm afternoons, and to cozy up by the wood stove on chilly evenings. The spring is great for get-aways on the water that refresh your mind and get you excited for summer after the cold winter. And summers at the cottage are full of swimming and outdoor fun. Kayaks and a canoe are provided for your use at no additional charge. We also have horseshoes, croquet, badminton/volleyball in July & August, internet, DVD player, and free Netflix movies (but no cable), and board games. If you choose, we have a discount paddleboard rental for just $20, and hot tub rental for $100 or less depending on the length of your stay. The Stagecoach Inn is a newly restored Colonial Home built in 1790. The home is so named because of its use as a Stagecoach stop in the 1700's. It lies in the Historic Village of Poquetanuck named in 1687. The home is newly furnished with an eclectic style of new and antique furniture. It is as comfortable for adults with children as it is for adults without children. Our location is central to the Mystic and More area of Connecticut making any of the sights reachable within 20 minutes. We are located between Foxwoods and the Mohegan Sun. This is a second floor apartment that has three bedrooms and can be rented as a stand alone rental. All of the beds are excellent quality pillow tops. Each bed has six pillows. Captain Grant's was built in 1754 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Located in a Village named in 1687 and surrounded by fields and historic homes makes Captain Grant's a great place for a family vacation, wedding or short holiday. The home has elegant charm that is both 21 century and 18th century. Five rooms have fireplaces as well as the keeping room on the first floor. A three story deck allows everyone to bask in the sunshine or read a good book while looking over our five acre lawn. We are centrally located in the Mystic and More area of Connecticut. Historic 1800's farmhouse with old world Quaker charm and details. The house has unique large exposed timber-framed beams throughout and has been updated with modern amenities. Although we are a private, rural farmette, we are located just minutes away from downtown Mystic and the Mohegan Sun & Foxwoods Casinos. The three acre property includes 8 original outbuildings, a small orchard and is surrounded by stone walls built by expert masons over many generations. The neighborhood is quiet and rural. Unfortunately there is a development starting in the back fields which used to belong to the farmhouse. So far they are just moving a lot of dirt and preparing the lots. No houses are being built just yet. We will keep this listing updated, but feel free to ask how it's going if you are worried about noise. We live on-site in a private suite. We generally don't interact with guests except to say hello and are right there if you do need anything. We are happy to give suggestions and show you around the farm, but most people prefer our hands off approach. This is a quiet, working property. We have a small restoration woodshop in one of the barns and lease a field to a farmer, so one or two vehicles may come and go besides our own as they work in the fields or the shop. There is also a second rental on the property which sleeps 2 guests. Please ask about availability if you need more space - it is popular and tends to book on weekends early in the season. Guests have keycode access - so self check-in is a breeze. We love this place for all it's quirks and unconventional nature. The old farmhouse has fairly low ceilings by modern standards. The first floor is about 7'-4" and the second floor is only about 6'-6". We find it cozy and easy to keep warm in the winter, but tall friends be aware! The bedrooms are located on the second floor up a narrow and steep set of stairs. The full bathroom is also on the second floor. 1/2 bath is off the kitchen. Parking is available for one car near the house. Extra cars can be parked by the barns. (Please let us know how many cars you plan to have.) The driveway is STEEP. Use caution with low vehicles. You will scrape if you don't take it on an angle! We have friends with sports cars who can navigate it just fine, but take your time.

It includes sound-dampening walls and it's own private entrance. The space you are viewing was entirely refinished earlier this month (June 2018). The first floor has an updated kitchen with full-size fridge, electric oven/range, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. The upstairs boasts an en suite bathroom with Whirlpool tub, spacious walk-in closet, and a new washer/dryer unit. There is a patio with chairs and a table just out the door, and a sitting area in the backyard which overlooks a beautiful pond. The pond is a great spot for bird watching and enjoying the wildlife and peaceful environment. On clear days Montauk Point on the end of Long Island can be seen on the horizon. This is a great place for tea or cocktails and catching up with friends or family. Beautifully renovated farmhouse-style single-family home with in-law suite sits on one acre in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood that is just a short driving distance to Downtown Mystic, Mystic Aquarium, Block Island, UCONN, Eastern Point Beach, Misquamicut State Beach, Watch Hill, Foxwoods Casino, Mohegan Sun, Naval Sub-base, local wineries, and Stonington Borough. Boston and NYC are only a few short hours' drive away as well. The main area of the home and in-law suite are rented separately unless you would like to rent them both together for an additional nightly fee. The main portion of the home sleeps seven guests with four bedrooms, two full baths, and one half-bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have twin beds (three in total), one has a full bed, and the master bedroom has a king bed. The in-law suite has a large, bright living area with a sky-light, one bedroom with an Avocado king-size mattress, and one bathroom, sleeping two guests. There is no kitchen in the in-law suite. The main area of the home features a custom chef's kitchen with a large island, oversized cooktop, double oven, a large refrigerator, a separate freezer, wine fridge, ample storage, two dishwashers, and a coffee station. The kitchen flows into the dining room, with sliding glass doors that open onto the back deck where there is a patio seating area and a grill for barbequing. The dining room and kitchen open into the living room, where you will love the stunning floor-to-ceiling fireplace to cozy up in front of at night, as well as a large-screen television with Roku access. The main floor of the home also has a powder room, a laundry room, an office with a printer/scanner, and a sitting/reading room. The upper level of the main home has three bedrooms, one full bath, and a master bedroom & bathroom combo. Every bedroom has a working AC unit, baseboard heat, and ample closet & dresser space. Bedroom one has two twin-size beds. Bedroom two has one twin-size bed. Bedroom three has one full-size bed. The master bedroom has a memory foam king-size canopy bed, a crib for those traveling with a baby, a Bowflex machine for those who like to stay active while away (we ask that you use this only if you are already accustomed to using resistance equipment, and use is at your own risk), a Smart TV, and a walk-in closet. There is also a lovely front porch to relax on in the mornings and evenings (anytime really!) - with Adirondack chair seating and a gas firepit. NOTE: The main area of the home (4 BR, 2.5 bath) and the in-law suite (1 BR, 1 bath, no kitchen) are rented separately but can be rented together for an additional $100/night. CHRISTMAS BOOKING NOTE: during the holiday season we decorate the house, which includes a Christmas tree, signs with scripture, Nativity scenes etc. We welcome guests from all backgrounds and beliefs!! If this type of decor would be offensive to you, this wouldn’t be the place to book a holiday stay. If it wouldn’t bother you, we know you’d love it here! We also have raised-bed and in-ground gardens that may be available to harvest fresh fruit and vegetables from during your stay!! Last - there is absolutely no smoking allowed indoors, no cats due to health issues, and because of insurance/liability there are very few breeds of dogs that are allowed here. Please include a picture of your dog if you plan on bringing one for prior preapproval. If you bring an unapproved pet it will result in immediate forfeiture of stay and no refund.
